Back in October I spent a week at the Chateau de Challain in rural France in the company of a bunch of other photographers and 4 models. Along with a stack of outfits, hair and makeup people, a van load of gear, some assistants and a little bit of wine 🙂
The location is amazing – the first two floors have been fully restored and the top two are still abandoned. Four poster beds everywhere, wood panelling and a zoo of stuffed animals all over the place. The outfits were impressive and one of them was custom made by Kirsty Mitchell during the week.
The grounds were lovely (and the size of Essex!) with manicured flower beds, gazebo and a lake with a rowing boat on it. Oh, and a hammock.
I managed to get some stunning pictures which I will post over time but here are some of the behind the scenes pics.
