sri lanka bee eater on branch yala

This one was the result of lots of previous attempts plus a bit of luck! Taken in Sri Lanka a few years back the Bee Eater is coming in to land after a successful flight where it caught an insect.

Interesting fact: Before they eat bee’s or wasps they remove the sting by rubbing the insect against a branch. Sensible!
